VQ35VHR ENGINE

Rated at 333PS at 7,000rpm with a peak torque of 363Nm at 5,200rpm, this large-displacement 3.7-litre engine boats a longer and flatter torque curve, delivering smooth acceleration and outstanding throttle response.

With Nissan's original VVEL (Variable Valve Event and Lift) system, it helps you to stay in control by ensuring a matching response to even subtle variations in pressure on the accelerator. By improving the efficiency of airflow through the cylinder, this unique system significantly improves responsiveness, optimizing the balance between power and environmental performance to deliver high output with lower fuel consumption and cleaner emissions.

TRANSMISSION

The 370Z also comes with a 7-speed automatic transmission with manual mode that provides smooth, seamless shifting, fuel-efficient high-speed cruising and heart-pounding acceleration whenever you want it.

In manual mode, you get a manual-style control with exceptionally quick shifts with a nudge of the shift level or a pull of the paddle shifters - ideal when you want to downshift to pass traffic or for more effective braking.

SYNCHROREV MATCH

The 370Z 6-speed M/T is the world's first manual transmission to feature a SynchroRev Match mode, that simplifies gear shifting at the touch of a button. Smooth acceleration or deceleration is achieved by "blipping" the throttle to the optimum engine rpm as you let out the clutch.

The short stroke shift lever helps keep wrist movement to a minimum, assuring quick, efficient shifting. Now anybody can experience the thrill that comes from successfully handling a sports car.

LIGHTWEIGHT BODY

With reinforcements like a bolt-on underbody braces and trigonal tower bar, the 370Z's rigid frame performs reliably during cornering, while the widespread deployment of aluminum on cover parts - including the doors and hatch as well as the hood - has made it possible to keep the car's overall weight down.

SUSPENSION & BRAKES

The 370Z features a lightweight, yet extremely durable suspension thanks to the use of aluminum components, the 370Z's double-wishbone front suspension offers a swift linear response to steering changes, while its multi-link rear suspension helps the large-diameter tires maintain maximum contact with the road.

In addition to a dual-flow-path design and internal rebound springs, the shock absorbers also feature high-performance ripple control, improving performance and controlling friction for more responsive handling and excellent riding comfort.

The combination of front opposed 4-piston aluminum calipers and a link-type brake pedal provides precise and predictable stopping performance, assuring ease of use around town or in a traffic jam.
